Monsanto’s weedkiller BOMBSHELL: It murders honey bees, too, contributing to global collapse of the food supply
(Natural News) Monsanto likes to promote the idea that GMOs can solve world hunger. At first, many wanted to believe that they could indeed provide an answer to this devastating problem, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that they’re actually having the opposite effect. In fact, Monsanto’s popular weed killer glyphosate, which is … [Read More…]

Power has been cut across 30 towns and cities, with the blackout causing a temporary closure of Kansai International Airport near Osaka. Typhoon Trami, rated category 2 by Tropical Storm Risk, with category 5 the highest, is the latest storm to threaten Japan in a year of weather-related woes, including punishing heat, heavy rains and landslides. Up to 20 inches of rain are forecast to hit Japan, with the storm currently packing winds of 100mph.
Outlying islands in the Okinawan chain, 620 miles (1,000km) southwest of Tokyo, were being pounded by heavy rain and high tides a day before an Okinawan gubernatorial election on Sunday. Strong wind knocked down trees, blew off an outer wall from a building and left nine people injured in Okinawa. About 22 people are thought to have been injured with flying glass and debris blamed for the majority of injuries. About 600 people have been evacuated in Okinawa city

The Medicane – meaning Mediterranean hurricane – has similar qualities of hurricanes and typhoons and has already caused flash flooding across Tunisia and Libya over the past few days. It has now moved north to the Mediterranean and towards Europe. The storm will cause the sea to pick up more tropical-like features normally associated with hurricanes. These include gale-force winds and even an eye in its center. Areas of Greece and Turkey will be hit with heavy rains and very strong winds. The system is
expected to move slowly over Crete and southern Greece on Saturday before picking up speed and heading into western Turkey on Saturday. Slow moving storms heighten the risk of dangerous flooding, with the devastation caused in the US early this year as hurricanes Harvey and Florence crept through eastern states. On Crete and other southern Greek islands, just four to six inches of rain could fall and lead to flash flooding

The Chinese government is supervising a five-year plan to make Christianity more compatible with socialism in which there will be a “rewrite” of the Bible, a prominent religious freedom activist has told Congress. The Rev. Bob Fu, a former Chinese house church leader who immigrated to the United States in 1997 and founded the persecution watchdog organization China Aid, provided great detail during a House hearing Thursday about a plan enacted by leading state-sanctioned denominations in China to “Sincize” Christianity.
As China’s crackdown on religion has seen many house churches demolished and thousands of crosses removed from churches nationwide, Fu warned upfront that what is happening right now in China represents the highest degree of persecution for independent faith groups the country has seen in decades. “Religious freedom in China has really reached to the worst level that has not been seen since the beginning of the Cultural Revolution by Chairman Mao [Zedong] in the 1960s,” Fu told members of the House Foreign Affairs’ Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations.

The warning comes as the US published its new bio-defense policy in an attempt to protect against the threat of bio-chemical weapons and outbreaks of infectious disease. In the last six months alone, Zimbabwe has been hit by a wave of cholera, the DRC has seen a fresh outbreak of Ebola, and the Black Death has returned to Madagascar. And earlier this week the first ever Brit to be infected by monkeypox
revealed her fears she may have passed on the deadly virus to her husband. Professor Wyn Rees, a security expert at the University of Nottingham, told Daily Star Online that spreading diseases via commercial planes was the “Holy Grail” of terror. He told us: “There are always lots of warnings with these kinds of things, be it bird flu or Ebola or monkeypox. “Because the fear is based on the fact they can cross borders very quickly

Nearly one million tons of water from the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant is still dangerously radioactive, according to Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO).
Despite years of treatment of the contaminated water, scientists have failed to remove all of its radiation, and water still contains iodine, cesium, and strontium.
Dailystar.co.uk reports: Huge quantities of water are being stored in containers at the plant years after the 2011 meltdown.
The horror disaster was sparked by a massive tsunami that caused waves that overwhelmed the plant’s reactors.
Despite a huge operation to purify the water, a TEPCO report has revealed it is still dangerously radioactive.

A major tsunami struck parts of Indonesia after powerful M7.5 earthquake hit the island of Sulawesi at 10:02 UTC (17:02 local time). The quake followed M6.1 earthquake at 07:00 UTC in which at least 1 person lost its life and 10 others were injured. Numerous moderate to strong aftershocks shook the region over the next few hours.
Tsunami waves up to 3 m (10 feet) hit the city of Palu, a growing tourist resort with a population of about 350 000 and the nearby fishing town of Donggala (population 280 000), both located some 80 km (50 miles) from the epicenter, after Indonesian authorities lifted the tsunami alert.
Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, a spokesperson of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency, said communications had been cut off in both cities, adding that officials hope to be able to gauge the scale of the damage at daybreak.
Unofficial reports received by 18:00 UTC, September 28 (01:00 local time) mention at least 6 deaths, including 1 caused by earlier M6.1, and dozens injured.

More than 380 people have been confirmed dead after a tsunami triggered by a magnitude 7.7 earthquake hit an Indonesian city on Friday.
A deadly tsunami killed many in the bay city of Palu in Indonesia’s Sulawesi island, a hospital official told Metro TV on Saturday after the area was hit by strong earthquakes and a 3-meter tsunami a day earlier.
In a video that appeared to be taken at night, doctor Komang Adi Sujendra said 380 people were killed and had been taken to the hospital where he was, adding that another 400 were injured.
Authorities were having difficulties coordinating rescue efforts as the 7.7 magnitude quake caused a power outage that cut communications around Palu and the nearby fishing town of Donggala, the closest to the epicenter of the quake 27 km away.
Officials had not yet provided any new information on the death toll on Saturday, but on Friday night they said initial reports showed some dead victims in the rubble of collapsing buildings.

This also includes users on Facebook Messenger.

The move announced by the Hague-based International Court of Justice comes against a backdrop of deeply strained ties between Washington and the Palestinians, in part because of the Trump Administration’s decision in December to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and to move the US embassy there from Tel Aviv in May. US envoy urges world to join America in ‘being direct, frank with Palestinians’

NEW YORK — US peace envoy Jason Greenblatt on Thursday defended the US administration’s drastic recent funding cuts to the Palestinians, arguing that billions given to this cause over decades have failed to significantly advance the cause of peace.
Rather, he said in a speech to a conference of international donors, it was time to “realistically evaluate what works and what does not,” and to embark on “a new, sustainable path.” While he declined to provide any details of the peace proposal he and other White House officials have been working on for months, he asked members of the international community to study it carefully and be open to new ideas.
“It is time to look at the situation realistically. We could continue the same pattern for years to come, but that would be folly,” Greenblatt told participants of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee’s annual meeting at the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
