(OPINION) Ricky Scaparo – If you are like me, you were completely stunned by the news recently that reported that more than one billion animals may have perished as a result of the record-breaking wildfires in Australia that are finally beginning to go out as a result of rains they desperately needed but the damage is far from over as a new report is now indicating that thousands of fish have been killed after rain washed bushfire ash into the Macleay River on the NSW Mid-North Coast in Australia.
Meanwhile, According to CNN, as many as one million seabirds have died at sea in less than 12 months in one of the largest mass die-offs in recorded history — and researchers say warm ocean waters were to blame. In Puerto Rico, a report has come out indicating that bees are now abandoning their hives as weeks of ongoing earthquakes have disrupted their colonies.
As heartbreaking and tragic as all of this sounds, it will not even be close to the apocalyptic death toll that will come to the fish of the sea and the beasts of the field in the future. The Book of Revelation reveals that the judgment and wrath of God will be poured out upon the Earth in what is called the “Great Tribulation”. During this period of time,
