As Passover approaches…The Plagues of Egypt and the Pale Horse ride together: We are in the end times, it’s a ‘no brainer.’ But the big question is how far are we into the great scheme of things?

Lamentations over the Death of the First-Born of Egypt by Charles Sprague Pearce (1877)

After four days of being diagnosed with bacterial Pneumonia, I felt I was recovering, I felt strong the fever had gone and I had enough breath to walk around slowly, so I wrote a couple of posts for the blog. What followed was like something out of a horror movie, on finishing the two posts I almost collapsed with exhaustion, my fever went back up to almost 42 deg and I was so short of breath I had to go straight to bed with help from my dear wife.

For two more days, I drifted in and out of consciousness, delirious dreams robbed me of propper sleep and my fever kept climbing, meaning I lost kilos in sweat. It was the most horrible two days of my life. On Monday morning the fever past, it left as quick as it came and for the first time in over a week I enjoyed a couple of hours of delicious sleep. However, I awoke with a strange pain in my right foot. I dragged myself onto the side of the bed and to my horror, my right foot had swollen up to the size of a football. I had not eaten hardly anything while I was poorly and the swelling was my body’s way of telling me all was not well. My foot was in the early stages of a massive gout attack and the pain is agony even as I write.
